Painted for 2022 fall color perceptions and expressions with Jia Sung at RISD. I wanted to oil paint a still life comprised of tea elements, including teacups, teaspoons, and the tea kettle itself. I also wanted to experiment with color mixing and application, so I decided on a color palette dominated by pink and with subtle bule green values mixed in. I also did three smaller studies, all with limited color palettes as well, as preparation before the final piece.
