Conceptualized in 2022 spring drawing with Norman Paris at RISD, first I constructed a physical fort using wire that I shaped into a lamp and then draped with faux-leather fabric and ribbon. I then closely examined the shape, contours, and shadows created by the fort and did thumbnails of close-up views. I then made a final 4'x10' charcoal drawing that was a synthesis of all the visual research I had done.
