These were drawn from life in an apartment in Brooklyn, New York that I lived at for a few months. The first scene is my bedroom, and I wanted to emphasize the cozy atmosphere of the room with its small size, warm lighting, and inviting bed. The second scene is the living room, and I wanted to portray a creepy, abandoned middle-of-the-night atmosphere with sickly colors and a warped perspective. In both cases, I tried to highlight the essence of the rooms and make the viewer feel how it would be in those rooms.
