Created for an assignment in Kim Demarco's New York, New Yorker class during my junior year of RISD. I was prompted to create a half-spread around an article about AI hands that could be run in the New Yorker, accompanied by an animation that could be shown online. I wanted to show the way AI is used to create art that prioritizes quantity over quality and oftentimes falls into the uncanny valley. Both the composition of the static hero and the animated gif are meant to be overwhelming, speaking to the large number of AI pieces.
